Distinguished by a long-lasting tan head. The light body makes this beer a smooth sipper that finishes as strong as the feared Black Hat Brigade itself. On tap tomorrow! The Black Hat Brigade was a Union Army infantry brigade composed of Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin troops noted for their strong discipline and tenacious fighting ability. Fighting in most major battles of the Civil War including Second Bull Run, Antietam, and Appomattox, the unit suffered the highest percentage of casualties of any brigade in the war.
